Making Our Own Creole Cajun Spice

>> Monday, February 16, 2015

We have made this seasoning years ago during our Commercial Cooking classes with TESDA. But I lost our recipe guide so I had to remember the recipe while imagining the flavors in my chicken, hehehe..

It's actually very easy, all you will need are the basic spices, place them all in a jar like the one I used, and shake them all together.

You will need the following spices:

6 tablespoons paprika
1/4 cup kosher salt
2 tablespoons ground black pepper
2 tablespoons ground white pepper
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons onion powder
1 tablespoon dried thyme
1 tablespoon cayenne

We enjoy this seasoning for our chicken, baked or fried, as well as as seasoning for our favorite rice dish, Jambalaya..
