So here I am exploring the city again. I needed to withdraw as I wanted to buy pasalubong already. So I went to the capitol where there was a Land Bank ATM. Across the the street was a mini plaza, in front of this beautiful church.
The lady invited me to burn some candles, and pray. Unlike in the usual churches where there were areas designated for candle lighting and prayers, here, they made makeshift candle holders.
This lady is quite enterprising this way, lol..
Anyway, just across is the oldest bridge, behind the water fountain. It was a lovely sight for me..
And of course, looking for a place to eat, I came to this side of the city hall. So sad vandalism has caught up with the wall. See the red writings on it? I hate to see clean walls being raped that way.
Just a few feet, and I saw this old eatery called Nesta's... The food looked common except for this fish. I do not know its name. But I smelled Sinigang so right away, I ordered it.
It felt like eating in Barrio Gaisano in Cagayan de Oro, only the people speak a different language. Before moving towards the counter, I couldn't help but get tempted with my favorite Brazo de Mercedes.
Just one slice makes my heart beat fast, lol.. and my mind telling me to let it pass.. But I couldn't.
I'm glad I took the order, for it was really yummy. I should have bought a roll, should I be traveling back already. Instead, I bought packs of their brownies and butterscotch..
Pasalubong #1. hehehe
