AFTER THE PARTY

>> Friday, February 13, 2015

Our school's Juniors Night ended with our students wanting more. We actually finished the program early that the kids started with disco dancing earlier than we imagined. Unfortunately for them, our school OIC declared that at 9:30 the party was to end, and it did. Although the kids still wanted to dance until 11 pm, which was the time we were supposed to end our affair at the restaurant, our admin still had the call whether or not it should end at the aforementioned time, or let the kids dance the night away. Oh well, it is better than no JN at all. And although it was kind of abrupt, I think the kids did have a great time.

Anyway, I think everything went well. The preparations, the committees did a great job, the program was good, with all the amazing emcees and hosts, and of course, all the parts well played.

As to the food, no complaints about it. The kids had snacks, so did everyone of us.. Dinner was also very heavy with Beef and Chicken dishes plus Sotanghon and two kinds of dessert, a piece of Blondie and a Brownie. I think this was the same food choice we had from last year's JN, which of course is not really bad because it will be disco dancing after, hehehehe..

I heard the kids saying that the meal was just what they needed. Imagine some of them didn't have time to eat lunch due to preparations for our party that started at 1 PM.

While the kids were dancing, all of us teachers and guests, on stage, were served a second snack.. Not all of us ate the said snack because of the very heavy dinner.

Although the dancing after dinner was quite wild, I still prefer to remember the kids while they danced the cotillion. That was before the disco dancing started. They all looked impeccable and classy during the cotillion. Afterwards, and most especially during the time we were ushering them out the restaurant, I saw hairdos gone, gowns losing some of the special touches, and sweaty brows with ties no longer in place.
