Dinner at Mooon Cafe

>> Saturday, October 16, 2010

We were craving for pizza and since we were still at the Robinson's Mall due to heavy rains and no ride to go home, we decided to eat since it was actually late already.  We ordered just the small size Karnes Pizza, and some bottomless iced tea..

Looking further at the menu, we decided to eat a full dinner..
I had Tuna Belly and my sister Sweet had Mooon Steak..  This Tuna Belly is just right, although, this isn't the Tuna Belly that I was graving for.. I like my Tuna Belly grilled and have some special flavorings.. But like what I said, this was just right. It didn't flunk so it is okay, lol..

Sweet's taste buds told her to ask for more so she asked for some condiments to help her enjoy her steak more, as she finds it a little bland to her taste. After that, she enjoyed her meal.. Of course, the Mooon Steak was quite huge for her so she shared it with me, lol..
For the record, we only ate a piece each of the pizza and took it home instead.. We were so full..

Siomai Food Trip at Robinson's..

This is quite a good Siomai stall.. I love the taste of their sauces.. Their Siomai however is not filling and well, lacks the authenticity of the dish.. For me, that is..
See, when the attendant said it's five pieces for P 29.00, I said it was quite cheap. Imagine, we get our Siomai at P 5.00, and considering they are at the mall, so I imagined, they are rather very affordable.
And I saw that they were indeed full, as five pieces couldn't seem to fit in the paper plate it is being served on.
Then the attendant offered us the sauces. WOW.. Variety indeed is very good. Among the sauces, my favorite was Chili Garlic, and Sweet's was Sweet Chili. But of course, you have the option to mix your own concoction out of the sauces offered. Other sauces include Teriyaki Sauce, Oyster Sauce and Soy Sauce, plus calamansi..

Oh, and instead of using toothpick, the pick was quite presentable too..
DOWNSIDE: I felt like eating mostly wanton wrapper with just a hint of meat inside, and nothing more..  It could have been better if it was filing enough, for regardless of the price, it would have been salable.. If it were filling and the sauces are great, I think they can sell them for P 35-45 pesos..
