Gongyo & Breakfast

>> Thursday, September 4, 2014

Every morning, Lili and I do Gongyo. Lili, after breakfast and when she is ready for school. While I am just about to take breakfast. Before going to bed, we do Gongyo again.

Above are my usual offerings at my Butsudan. Of course, we eat the fruits when they ripen and gets replaced by a new batch of offerings. Whatever fruit in season will do.

I never run out of Lakatan Banana because it is one of the staple ingredients in my breakfast-- my protein shake.

This morning, while I had my shake, they had Baked Eggplant Caserole. That's eggplant, eggs, minced pork and some spices. They said it's yummy.

4th Year HS Confirmation Lunch

>> Monday, September 1, 2014

This morning, the 4th year high school students had their confirmation at the St. Augustine Cathedral. It is an annual activity to ensure that the Roman Catholics are confirmed before they graduate from high school.

Our department have been organizing and coordinating with the bishop in this endeavor, and this morning's activity was just one of the many confirmations that happened for years.

Despite the rain, the confirmation rites was attended by a thousand plus students. All of us are happy.

The confirmation rites ended almost lunch time, and so we proceeded to Philtown Hotel and Restaurant for our lunch. We had Kinilaw (picture above) and Pork Steak (below).

We also had their signature dish, the famous Philtown Restaurant Pansit.

We usually order their pansit for snacks or when someone would treat us in the department for some food. We also had Chopsuey, which was really good. I love the crunch of the vegetables and the sauce.

It reminds me of my ex-boyfriend as it is his favorite.. wink.. wink.. wink..

Of course, there was also Fish Fillet in Sweet & Sour Sauce.

Picture taking before eating..

Picture taking after eating.. hahaha..

Thank you for the sponsor of this lunch..
