Double Baked Butterless Chocolate

>> Sunday, January 18, 2015

It's a Sunday, and what better way to spend Sundays with the kiddies than baking their favorite treat?

In this recipe, no butter was used, thus the name... But we did melt a huge portion of Selbourne chocolate..

Added some sugar, and eggs..

Then added the flour...

After the flour, evaporated milk was then added..

Then of course. the instant oats...

Place batter in pan and bake for 30 minutes in an oven toaster..

When done, take the cake off the pan to cool.. Then slice the cake according to preferred serving size. and bake again for another 10-15 minutes..

When it's done, you will have crispy chewy treats to devour..

All of them loved their Sunday because of this.. plus our movie marathon of course..

Experimenting with Vege Meat

>> Thursday, January 15, 2015

Vege meat or processed vegetabe as meat replacement, is usually used by vegetarians in most of their dishes. In our case, we aren't vegetarians. We simply want to eat with less calories, and more protein in our meals.

So we experimented on vege meat made from Soya to replace or add to our chicken or fish.. Above is a vegetable dish of squash and potatoes with vege meat..

\
Then we used vege meat on a very common dish, Pansit Guisado. With it some spicy sausage and vegetables..

Then we cooked Chicken Adobo with vege meat..

Lastly, we tried Spicy Pineapple Papaya Chicken. All of them dishes we cooked with vegemeat are quite good. But then, we think eating vege meat on a daily basis is not at all healthy so until the next experiment... Maybe after a month or so..
