Experimenting with Vege Meat

>> Thursday, January 15, 2015

Vege meat or processed vegetabe as meat replacement, is usually used by vegetarians in most of their dishes. In our case, we aren't vegetarians. We simply want to eat with less calories, and more protein in our meals.

So we experimented on vege meat made from Soya to replace or add to our chicken or fish.. Above is a vegetable dish of squash and potatoes with vege meat..

\
Then we used vege meat on a very common dish, Pansit Guisado. With it some spicy sausage and vegetables..

Then we cooked Chicken Adobo with vege meat..

Lastly, we tried Spicy Pineapple Papaya Chicken. All of them dishes we cooked with vegemeat are quite good. But then, we think eating vege meat on a daily basis is not at all healthy so until the next experiment... Maybe after a month or so..

Happy Birthday Carmelle and lots more too..

>> Monday, January 12, 2015

Maam Isabel, for the nth time, brought Guavas for us to devour.. Their yummy guavas at home grow so well to be very sweet tasting. Every time they can harvest, we always have our share at the office.

Then Maam Gloria's husband sent her a package, of which, we also had our share of a chocolate bar.. hahahaha, what a morning..

The daughter of our co-teacher celebrated her birthday in school today at lunch..

Maam Nelly's cooking was once again showcased, and our tummies happy..

So it was indeed a happy birthday.. hehehe..

The fish above was also from Maam Nelly's birthday last Dec 31.. so I guess you can call it a double celebration??? Hehehehe..

Of course, not all were cooked by our mamsy. The roasted chicken were from the nearby chicken station.

What I love most are the steamed vegetables and fruits.. The platter was quite nice in that flower design concept..

Then Sir Luther brought Pancit Macau from Grand City Hotel Restaurant in time for the birthday lunch.. I guess this addition gave Carmelle the signature long life dish of all time, hehehehe..

The sinful Mango Tapioca of Maam Nelly was to die for.. Of course, that is not the only dessert we got..

Sir Luther here sliced the remaining Guavas and that perfectly sealed the palate..
