Deep Fried Shrooms

>> Monday, March 5, 2012

Have you ever tried eating Deep Fried Shrooms? Or just plain Fried Mushrooms?I am sure you will like them once you taste them. I know I did, after my cousin introduced them to us.

Of course, it should start from fresh and clean mushrooms. Dip them in beaten eggs..
Then dredge them in flavored flour (seasoned with salt and all other spices and flavorings, making sure all parts of the mushroom are covered.
Of course, pat off extra flour before putting them in oil that has been heating on the stove.
Deep fry until golden brown. Once done, take them out of the pan and take out excess oil. When they're ready to serve, you have the option to plate them and have a fancy presentation or pack them in a serving dish for the family to enjoy.

Well, it has always been a hit. Whatever kind of mushroom we use, except canned mushrooms, we get the yummy taste that we so loved. The kids say they're eating chicken.. hehehe

Food During Our Induction

>> Sunday, March 4, 2012

The other weekend, the CDO Bloggers Inc. have had the induction of officers and general assembly at Lokal, and below is what we had.

There's Empanada, Seafood Pancit and the Turon with special sauce that tastes like coconut and cheese. I love the sauce, but the Turon seemed uncooked. Somehow, it made me think of pool covers, not that it's that bad, I just didn't appreciate the texture of hard Banana inside the wraps, which were not cooked.

But the Empanada was good. I loved texture inside the soft but flaky crust. I am not so much a fan of pancit, but it was okay.

Below are the three snack menu that were served...

Aren't they yummy?
