Back to Back Lechon Paksiw

Today, APRIL FOOLS Day.. But we were not fooled to working and missing breakfast. Maam Isabel arrived with our breakfast. We just have to take a break.. 


It's Lechon Paksiw, Tagalog style. One where Mang Tomas is used to flavor the Lechon Paksiw. By lunchtime, another batch of Lechon Paksiw arrived, and this time, it's done the usual Bisaya style that we enjoy. 


We had to stay late to finish work, so we also had the left over Lechon Paksiw for dinner.. We also had these yummies for dessert.. 



Work, stress and Lechon Paksiw.. recipe for health dangers.. When I reached home an hour before midnight, I just had to have a glass of Red Wine.. April Fools Day or not, we must not be fooled by what we eat.. Anyway, thanks Maam Sabel for the food.. Tomorrow, I shall have water therapy..

Unhealthy Dinner That's Tempting

Coming home to these oily treats is just tempting. Admittedly, they are unhealthy because they are both oily, even though Canola oil was used to fry them. Canola oil is actually healthier to use compared to other oils to use, but, oil is oil. 


Using Olive oil to fry them would have been healthier, but we ran out of Olive oil.. 


Anyhow, a bite or two wouldn't hurt..
