Prawns for Dinner

>> Monday, February 23, 2015

As I was walking home tonight, I chanced upon a man selling these lovelies, and marked them down because he said he wanted to go home but could not do so until he finished selling them. So I asked for the price, and because it was way more than reasonable, I bought them.

At first I thought they were shrimps, but later at home, I realized that they were actually prawns. Prawns are crustaceans similar in appearance to that of the shrimps, but differences can be distinguished by the gill structure which is branching in prawns and not in shrimp. Also, prawns are related to the crab and the lobster, while shrimps, at some point in their life, are food for the crabs, lobsters and other crustaceans, fish, birds and other animal species.

Anyway, they were cooked much like the Shrimp Adobo, but the taste is different. The meat of the prawn is different from the shrimp too. But we love them both.. hehehe..

After Rehearsals

After rehearsals, we went back to the office and enjoyed these..

Mama Nitz brought them for us. Her husband and kids arrived from Bohol and brought lots of Calamay.. It's yummy because it's still fresh. Perhaps a day old after their arrival yesterday.

I didn't eat much. Just tasted the Calamay and oh it was tempting.. It was very good.

After a few minutes, we all went our separate ways. I arrived home with these Coffee buns with Choco Chips from Baker Bob, which we bought earlier while at LKKS for the rehearsal.

I was also very happy that there was still one pack of this Teh Tarik left at Shop Wise earlier, so I bought it too. Siblings were even more happy, hahahaha..
