Beautiful Mushrooms, Yummy Too

Today I found freshly packed mushrooms at the local supermarket that I always go to for reasons of proximity. These packs are quite convenient for cooking as they are packed just right, and just enough for a dish for three people. This is perfect for us. 

But since we are cooking for two meals, lunch and dinner, so I bought three packs. 

Look at them, they're gorgeous, aren't they? The freshness shows even after being cooked. 

Today we cooked the mushrooms with potatoes and carrots, with all the spices in my kitchen. The end product was unique to the palate. 

With its chicken-like taste, no one will suspect that it's mushrooms, until they open their eyes. Look at my brunch--- tell me what you think.

Experimenting..

Shop at More Food Adventures

For today's dinner, we had vegetarian viand inspired by a dish that my sister's classmate brought during her birthday celebration when we were in Singapore last December 2014. It was a superb recipe that we can not forget, no matter how simple it may seem. 

So we try to recreate it as much as we could, and hopefully we'd get it. This curried vegetables is not the same as what we wanted to copy. But I think it's fairly good. 

For dessert, my sister made this Creamy Mango Gulaman Tapioca. This too is another experiment. We have been experimenting with gulaman since last year.
