I Could Shoot a Video in Davao---

>> Sunday, July 3, 2011

I have been on the bus for ten hours or more, when I went to Davao City for DFAT 2011, via Butuan City. actually, it felt like forever because I just came from Camiguin Island, and the van and ferry took quite a while, so that added to the hours sitting down on my journey.. It was so tiring.. Unlike the guy sitting in front of me, who was watching Magnetic Man P Money Anthemic Music Video and the Joe Jonas See No More Music Video, I was feeling the burden of lots of things carried in my shoulders. My luggage plus the laptop bag separate with my hand bag-- whew! I couldn't imagine how I have survived that journey to and back.. I could have watched a video of, or listened to and sang Scouting For Girls Love How It Hurts, while traveling, but, I had to rest and enjoy the sitting challenge, lol..

Anyway, when I arrived in Davao, no music could ever describe how I felt about the city. It was so nice to be there.. We had our pre DFAT dinner and went back to my hotel to rest after our night cap at Jose Rafael.. The next four days was a bit hectic for a gastronomic frenzy, vis a vis my curiosity and excitement which somehow developed later into a desire to relocate in Davao City. Why I am posting this is relevant to the latest incident of the mayor punching a court sheriff amidst demolition exercises.. I swear, even if that happened, I still would like to relocate in Davao City. The people and food, places and sights are wonderful.. If you are a musician or an artist who would like to shoot for a movie, advertisement or a music video, Davao has every nook and cranny that would best fit any video theme. Truly, it is a melting pot of cultures and traditions as well as modernization and development..

Dreaming to go back there one day.. Not just for the Durian, but everything I have come to admire and love about the city in my five day stay..
