Refreshing Young Coconuts in Singapore

>> Saturday, May 28, 2011

This young coconut was what we enjoyed as we strolled along Chinatown in Singapore.. It may be very small but mind you, the coconut water inside it is very sweet. Just a word of caution, it may be young coconut, but the coconut meat was kinda tough.. So just enjoy this refreshing drink but not as a snack, hehehe..

The first time I saw this actually, was when a woman was holding three young coconuts this size while she was talking to someone standing near the point of care cart at the Tan Tock Seng Hospital, where my cousin Lara and I went to when I accompanied her to apply as nurse assistant there..

When we got to taste the said coconuts, I flipped. They are quite different tasting compared with our young coconuts here in the Philippines.. Must be because they were imported from Thailand.. FYI: Singapore do not have any produce on their own..

Bangus in Oil Omelet

Target coupons are helpful these days, especially for those who have relatives they are sending to school here in the Philippines, as it is enrollment season now.. Added to that are the many natural calamities that hit previously.. I am also sure that those who have lost so much during the tornado attack in Missouri can use much more discounts, if not freebies.. Truly, it can be devastating to lose everything that you worked hard for in just one snap of a finger.. I do hope everyone can be able to move on and move up, after the grave damages..

Anyway, at breakfast today, we had this Bangus in Oil Omelet..

It's kinda recycled from the bottle of Bangus in Oil I got during the Davao Food Appreciation Tour 2011, one that Saranggani Bay gave each of us participants.. Well, what was left was Spicy Flavor, and Lili can not tolerate too much spiciness in food, so I had to add eggs and made it into an omelet.. Lili loved it..  That was a freebie, not something I got from Target coupons.. hehehe
