Too Much Sweets!

>> Sunday, May 15, 2011

Are patients who go to naltrexone acamprosate campral treatment centers allowed to eat sweets? Well, I do not really know.. But I know I have had too much sweets today... Gosh! After breakfast I had a slice of pie and coffee.. At five in the afternoon, DFAT participants went to Crepelato.. and we had their house specialty... Their home made Gelato.

I had Pistachio on Crepe (pronounced as crape).. Yummy! Then at dinner time, we went to Lachi's.. Davao's ultimate source of delectable cakes and pastries.. Although everything that we ate at dinner were really yummy, so I guess they are just not good for cakes and pastries, they're good for everything..

Anyway, they are actually known for their Sansrival Cake which now have three flavor varieties namely Classic, Mocha and Durian.. Of the three, I love the Classic Sansrival Cake.. Of course we got to sample everything on the dessert buffet...

.....including the two new flavors of cheesecakes that came later...

Below are the portions I had.. a little of everything...

Or should I say, a little portion of every sweet stuff....
Of course, as the custom of bloggers, little portions that I got I shared with those who wanted to taste them from my dessert plate.. Now tell me, can you still sleep with all the sugar intake? Hahaha.. I feel so energetic tonight.. Can't sleep!

This is actually my entry for Food Trip Friday... Click on the badge below for more..

Yellow Fin Seafood Restaurant - Davao City

>> Friday, May 13, 2011

Welcome dinner for DFAT 2011 participants and organizers was at Yellow Fin Seafood Restaurant. It was great. It wasn't actually the start of the Davao Food Appreciation Tour 2011 yet, but my golly, we were all so "busog" (full)! It's a seafoods restaurant so imagine all the seafoods you can find, plus pork and chicken of course.. Variety is the key, but over all, I need not say anymore.

Below were the food we had...

 Imbao Soup

The soup was actually very good. It's rich and well, it was so good to have warm liquid on a rainy night.. The Kinilaw was good too, but I didn't take some. I guess it's because I just arrived from a ten hour journey all the way from the beautiful island of Camiguin, via Butuan City then Davao..

Anyway, the Fish Laing below really had me drooling and wanting for more.. I love how the coconut milk as well as the fish and the leafy vegetable complimented each other.. I think I finished half of this dish, that is proof enough that the dish was truly heavenly..

Then there's the Liempo. Juicy meat and crunchy skin.. Yummy!

And of course, the fried chicken that my daughter would have loved, should she be around to enjoy this treat..

 Greaseless Fried Chicken

The  Adobo Tuna Buntot was also divine..

But my favorite of all the dishes is this sizzling Tuna Belly.. So tasty and oh so yummy! I can not find any other word to describe how it tastes.. Well, that on the first night in Davao..
