Perry's Pizza

>> Sunday, April 24, 2011

This is the second pizza place Lili and I went to. It's NOT exactly that hip place. More like a "tambayan" for foreigners who need a drink with their buddies.. When we arrived two foreigners were drinking, and while we were eating, another two followed. They were so noisy backbiting their wives and in-laws, lol..
Anyway, unlike the experience at Luna, there was a pizza server, but it's knife that one uses to dine.. still, NOT the proper server, if you ask me. Although, that won't matter much, really.
Perry Delight was the house specialty, and the most expensive. But if you ask me, it is still very cheap at P 230 only... It had all the meat toppings on the menu, but I must tell you, though the topping tasted good, the crust doesn't.

Luna Ristorante

>> Saturday, April 23, 2011

We are a pizza devouring tandem, Lili and I.. and like what I wrote on my previous post, we looked forward to trying out Camiguin's Best Pizza...Uhm.. People who have tried it raved about it, so it must be good.. And what better way to enjoy pizza than with our aunt, uncle and cousins...
So we tried the Luna Pizza as well as the Luna Supreme Pizza, priced at P 350 and P 400 respectively..  I was NOT pleased with how the order was served.. With the crust burnt, and each pizza lacked pizza servers so we had a difficulty in serving each slice unto our plates.. As far as decorum is concerned when eating pizza, if it's dine in and you are given plates with forks and knives, then the pizza should come with a pizza server, in which case, we were not given.. even after we asked the attendant..
Two orders of each 12 inch pizza mentioned above.. That's four 12 inch pizzas for a party of ten.. Although it was difficult to serve the pizza, we were able to do it till we were all full.. A hearty pizza dinner at Luna Ristorante..
So, is it really the best pizza in Camiguin? Hmm.. Judging from how we were served, and how the pizza came, it didn't look good burnt.. The pizza was kinda "hard"... We even joked that it felt like chewing on cement.. The taste? Luna Pizza tasted better than the Luna Supreme which is priced higher.. Nothing exciting really..  Their pizza at Luna are said to be cooked in a brick oven, and the attendant said, that is the reason why their crust was burnt..  The place is good though, spacious and they boast of free WiFi.. The attendants are quite slow and are not at all happy to be of service.. Somehow, they lack that genuine charm, or maybe they were just tired..
So far, Luna Ristorante is the first pizza place we have tried here in Camiguin, so I can not compare it with others.. By far, I could not say it is the best.. Maybe we should explore the island further for other pizza places to go to and then we can compare..
