Baby Food Spilled on the Train

>> Thursday, November 18, 2010

Here in Singapore, it is not a good idea to bring food and drinks when taking the MRT or taking the bus because it is NOT allowed. It is strictly forbidden because it will create a huge problem for the commuters. Just like what happened to the lady I sat beside with at the MRT the other day, on the way to Jurong East. She was holding the ergo baby carrier which had a milk bottle on it. Unfortunately, the milk bottle was slightly opened that it spilled the contents on the baby carrier seat as well as on the floor of the train. Good thing the train was not full of people, she was able to wipe the floor with a towel and the moment we reached Jurong, it was clean enough not to be noticed.

That is exactly the reason why drinks are not allowed, for we will never really know when a disaster like that might occur.

Pure Sugar Cane Drink and The Rose

>> Wednesday, November 17, 2010

No, this is not the output of melting Maggi bullion into a glass of water. No sir. The drink above is pure sugar cane with ice. Every time we eat this is the drink we choose because of its medicinal properties. We so love the drink because it is very refreshing. But if it's your first time to try it,  it actually will not taste good to you. I suggest that if it's your first try, get the one with Lemon or Honey so it will taste good.

There are actually many different drinks here in Singapore that are new to me. Another one is The Rose.

It is actually juice made from the extracts of the rose petals. Remember my post about the flowers in the market? Well, that is one of the flowers that they eat here.
