Pests and Pancakes?

>> Thursday, October 28, 2010

Gina's boyfriend is a very good cook. The two of them had been seeing each other for two and a half years and well, they are in deed a really good couple. Perfect. Larry, according to Gina, works at one of the Houston pest control centers and that is actually the reason why they met. See, Gina needed someone to help her with termites and Larry came at the right time, at the right moment. And Gina remembers that on the day they met, Larry even cooked for her some pancakes.

It so happened that Gina panicked after seeing roaches and termites that she dropped all her cooked food on the floor. What do you know? Pancakes and Pests somehow make life wonderful, lol..

BULL'S EYE.. hahaha.. Speaking of  a Houston Pest Control Company, I read earlier about Bulls Eye Pest Control which provides termite control, pest control, fire ant control, flea control, and bee control services to residential and commercial customers.

Who knows? Your Larry might just be there.. hehehe

To Remove Oil from Fried Food

>> Wednesday, October 27, 2010

There are many ways to remove oil from fried food. One of the many ways is to place the fried dish on a paper towel. In our house, whenever we run out of paper towels, we use tissue paper. Quite expensive compared to paper towels, but it's worth it.

FYI: Before serving the dish, make sure that you have removed it from the paper towel otherwise, it would be useless to have them anyway. After removing the paper towel, you will notice that a huge amount of oil is absorbed by the towel.

When frying Lumpia and Fried Chicken however, we use an oil drainer or a stainless colander where we let the oil drip from the colander to the plate that catches the dripping oil.
