Late Dinner: Last Meal Before Leaving Pinas

>> Sunday, May 14, 2017

After checking in, and finally getting through Immigration, I decided to eat a very late dinner before my flight. I am going to wait for my flight for hours still, so I must eat.

My very heavy load made me feel really stressed out..

So as I moved towards the terminal gate, I decided to eat at this Japanese themed fast food joint at the airport..

They had rice meals but don't come with a drink, so you have to purchase one to go with your food.

A bit pricey, and well, the food is not that good at all. Talk about simply reheated meals to come to your table as quickly as possible..

The meat was okay. Not as good as I imagined, but no complaints when you are very hungry. In my mind I thought, I should have just bought food from Jollibee before lining up the immigration queue.. but too late for that already..

As a consolation, the lemon iced tea was refreshing.. so I was okay..

Noticeably, not many people come by this food stop. There was just me at this time.. hahaha..

Binagol is Here!

>> Friday, March 24, 2017

From the makers of my favorite, Muron. Now comes another favorite, Binagol. It is now available here in Cagayan de Oro through Nanay Choleng's Muron stalls.

I have tasted Binagol a few times in my childhood and the last of which was in Manila, when a coworker and friend gave me Binagol for pasalubong. I love the sweet taste and boy, am I happy now that we can buy this here in the city already.

Binagol is a delicacy from Leyte and Samar. So understandably, it is a scarce commodity. It is still scarce though, as Nanay Choleng's Muron stalls only have them on Fridays and Saturdays, according to the attendant. Now, I am beginning to think that finding music instruments and accessories is easier as going to http://www.musiciansfriend.com/rackmount-cases-stands-furniture than finding one Binagol, lol.. I mean, if and when there is an immediate craving that needs immediate satisfaction.. hahaha

Oh well, that's better than no Binagol at all.

Very Early Dinner with Tatay

>> Friday, March 3, 2017

My brother's Basketball practice will end late. I am famished. So I asked my father if we can have an early dinner, as I am already dying of headache. We went to our favorite Kambingan further up, but just a few meters from my brother's school.

We ordered Adobong Kambing and Pork Halang2x. They were delicious. Actually my father's choices. They may come pricey, but they are healthier.

The meal came with a free Sinigang Soup for each of us. I love Sinigang. But this is from the Sinigang na Ulo ng Kambing :-)

All is well, afterwards. We asked for a quotation should we order for catering. We were told P 4500 for the entire Kambing, with 4 amazing recipes already. I was thinking, maybe Kambing is a better alternative to Lechon, come moving ceremony of Lili and River.. We have yet to decide..

Brunch at BBQ Station

>> Saturday, February 18, 2017

Who says it's too early for barbecue?? I felt famished. We went out of the house early but was caught in a jeepney driver's goal of filling all spaces before moving, so my little me was late for rehearsals, and me, well, hungry.. I have so many things to do before 12 noon, so I decided to have brunch...
Been craving for something like barbecue last night, and so this is the answer. BBQ Station has been famous for its bbq around the city, and they have lots of branches.. I am near Xavier University today, so I simply ordered, paid, sat and ate..

Happy Saturday everyone..
