Buy 2 Take 2 from The Pizza Company

It's Thadingyut Festival and a lot of food companies have their Thadingyut promotions..

We availed the Buy 2 Take 2 offer from The Pizza Company and we chose four different flavours. 

Funny, we had pizza for two days in a row now. There are other food preparations we bought and some we prepared.

Pork Ham Humba with Banana Blossoms

This is by far the Humba with no fat that doesn't taste like something is missing... 

Well actually, I am missing Tausi in it because we don't have it in our pantry. But it tastes okay even without the Tausi.

It's funny because I am imagining Lechon Paksiw.. Hahaha my father's birthday and his Lechon and a few days after, of course we've lots of left over back home.. If only it could reach us here.. Hahaha

Barbecue Get together with Colleagues

We were invited to a get together with colleagues, and it was actually fun. It was a no-rule bring your own food to share kind of thing that we all enjoyed together with laughs and did things not related to work..

The highlight of our meal was the barbecue.. 
 

Grilling at a colleague's rooftop was the fun thing too..

Sopas, the Filipino's Defense to Cold Weather

Tr Gil made Sopas for dinner. It had been gloomy and cold the whole day, and rain just keeps dancing in alternate rhythms. So after classes today, he made us this dinner treat. How cpmforting. It's like we are in the Philippines as we ate.. 

Taho in Myanmar

Taho is one of my favourite breakfast treats back in the Philippines. Missed it so much so we made our own. It is not the same Taho back home but this satisfies our cravings..

Back from Hiatus

I guess you could say that. I am back from bogging hiatus. How long has it been? Too long to count, I guess. But here I am with so much food photos and memories to share, and life lessons yo impart. I have changed my blog's name to Food and Life Adventures because I want to keep this blog alive starting today.

Anyway, just wanna share this Chewy Chocolate Cookie baked by my housemate, colleague, friend and sister here in Myanmar. 

She makes the best cookies by far.. I will be sharing more in the next fee days. You will be getting to know a whole lot of new characters in my life..
