Yesterday was our friend Vhong's birthday, but since we were so busy, we visited him only today. We had dinner at his place, and we had cake for dessert..

Congratulations Maam Nely

So Maam Helen will leave for El Salvador tomorrow for her first day at the El Salvador District. Our Maam Nely is the one who will replace her as Department Head.. And this cake which she shared with us today is from her advisory class.. She was so touched.. We were happy for the movement, and we do understand how she will miss her classes, for she will be staying at the admin office starting tomorrow.. 

Anyway, congratulations Maam Nely..

Our Department Head just got promoted and will be leaving for another district. So we have this farewell dinner for her.. These are just some of the food snaps I took. We were busy with our farewell program, and feeling mixed emotions about her leaving..

Saw this awesome video on youtube, and I simply added this method of enjoying our favorite Chick Peas...

It was quite easy to follow.. and we used this brand of Chick Peas since our usual brand wasn't available at the grocery.. 

For the twist, we used our favorite herbs instead of the ones on the video.. 

And that's the product.. 

Healthier.. and so easy to make.. Rich in protein.. and oh so good..

Despedida for Little Bro

My brother is leaving for Manila to go and work in New Zealand. Tonight is his last night here in Cagayan de Oro City. It was quite sudden, but we are all happy for his new journey. 

We went to Redtail to have our family dinner, and since we couldn't send him off in Manila for his departure for New Zealand, we just have to spend this last dinner with him this year. It may be 2-3 years more before we could see him again. 

We asked him where we should have dinner, and he chose the place. We had two kinds of Shrimp dishes, and two kinds of Crab dishes. 

One is sweet, the other is very spicy, hehehehe.. 

 

We also had Kinilaw with Sinugba..

The kids wanted Squid Rings, so we also had some.. 

We also had Broiled Liempo.. 

And of course, photos to go with the moment.. 

 Goodluck on your journey.. Stay safe.. We are all happy for you.. See you soon..

After the TLE class of the students of Maam Grace, they came by the office and brought these salads.. I think this is the nth time that they did.. 

Above is made from Sayote, Carrots and some spices. Below is made of Macaroni, apples, and some spices too. 

They are quite good.. Thumbs up!
